OUR MISSION

'

A pastime pursued from the deep passion of growing plants, grew into a profession and a mission to provide to those who yearned the same variety of botanicals.

We work diligently to not only provide a wide variation of greenery but more importantly to produce plants with notable quality. From the dirt we select to particular care we put into each type of plant. We give our full attention to every detail necessary to grow the plant performance every gardener yearns.

Zeinstra Countryside Greenhouse was created by dairy farmers Ron & Betty Zeinstra. To provide a broader collection of garden needs to their community. Avid gardeners themselves, they were not finding the selection of plants they desired. From a hobby to a full on nursery, this power couple has brought joy to many plant lovers homes for over 35+ years.

Now as Zeinstra Greenhouse, Shane & Ashley Zeinstra have begun the second generation of this beloved greenhouse. Shane, with this passion for growing plants just like his grandparents and Ashley's creativity from her art degree, plan to carry on the joy the greenhouse brings for many more years to come. As time provides they plan to keep growing in their purpose to their community. Educating themselves regularly, they hope to provide an outlet for not only beautiful flowers but quicker access to clean, sustainable living.

THE

ARTWORK

designer creator

ARTIST

With a degree in Fine Art: specializing in Painting, from Kendall College of Art and Design Ashley Zeinstra has found many ways  to incorporate and utilize her training in the world around her. Living a non-traditional artist lifestyle, she has developed her own way of providing art to her community. By making her skills readily available to produce artwork for others. When producing her own work she is greatly influenced by her childhood and current lifestyle. Raised where soy beans and corn stalks were the neighbors, her excavator & blueberry farming father and east coast raised mother were all a huge significance to her development as an artist. Now married into a dairy farming family and co-owning a second generation greenhouse with her husband, her artwork has grown into a natural artistic depiction of all these souls combined.

HOFFMAN A ART IS THE ARTWORK PRODUCED BY Ashley Zeinstra

NAMED AFTER HER MAIDEN NAME IN HONOR OF THE WAY IT HAS SHAPED HER AS A WOMEN. TALENT IS A BLESSING AND ASHLEY'S AVENUE TO CARRY ON  GENERATIONS OF TOIL.

RAISED NOT TO WASTE, THE ARTWORK COMMONLY IS PAINTED ON RECYCLED CANVASES OR FOUND MATERIAL. RECREATING ZEST TO SOMETHING OTHERWISE KNOWN AS RUBBISH.  IT'S IMMENSELY VITAL TO THE  DEVELOPMENT OF EACH WORK AS IT CREATES A CERTAIN LEVEL OF BEAUTY NOT OTHERWISE OBTAINED.

YOU'LL FIND A WIDE RANGE OF STYLES ROOTED FROM HER VAST PERSONALITY AND SOMBER 'PHOTOGENIC' PORTRAITS OF HER PASSIONS.

AS AN ARTIST, SHE ENJOYS AMUSING THE EYE WITH SIMPLICITY. PAIRING NEGATIVE SPACE WITH  APPRECIABLE DETAIL, GREATLY DERIVED FROM THE TOPOGRAPHY SHE WAS RAISED IN AND RESIDES IN.
